I don't know how but I've hurt my wrist.
My right wrist too :(
So I can't
hand sew
machine sew
crochet
knit
cut out
or even use the computer easily - the mouse hurts and typing hurts too.
(and I had commissions that needed to be finished this week)
Aaaarrrrrrggggggggggghhhhh!
and then there's all that lovely housework I so desperately wanted to do.................oh woe is me!
Poor lucy, you are going to miss out on all that cleaning . I'll pop right over and have a whip through for you.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth are you going to cope with no sewing at all?
You need a gocco!
How are you going to survive???
ReplyDeleteLOCKET!!!!!! Right. I'll do a quick whip round A.R.S.E. we will have that housework sorted out in no time!
ReplyDeleteBugger about the sewing though!
Poor you, not being able to clean! Arggg!
ReplyDeleteTake care, you can always cuddle fabrics and yarn!
Oh no! No ironing even? I trust you can use the oher hand to hold a cup of tea though.
ReplyDeleteGet better soon - and I hope you can rest it!
What a bugger! But I'm sure you can you drink wine with your other hand?!?
ReplyDeleteCould the Ladybirds do a 'how to clean the house' badge?
how'd you manage that? You poor thing!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet you're gutted you can't iron. What a shame...terrible news ;)
Oh poor you. Hope your wrist recovers quickly. How frustrating about the house work lol.
ReplyDeleteOh no! That's terrible news about the housework!
ReplyDeleteMake sure you rest it well - it could be a repetitive strain injury... and drink wine... through a straw without lifting the glass if necessary!
oh no, thats awful, what a horrible thing to happen - as far as crafts go that is - as for the housework, well it's such a shame! if i lived nearer i would come and give you a hand.
ReplyDeletehope it all settles down soon.

hey, i have no idea how that happened, so sorry - i think my brain is addled following a visit to dentist and finding out i need a root canal - oh my god!
ReplyDeletex
Poor you! It is probably repetitive strain injury with all the sewing you do! You will have to read Dorothy's books instead and get the little lockets to turn the pages for you!
ReplyDeleteoh no!, poor you, can you still eat chocolate though?!!
ReplyDeleteOh you poor duck, chocolate and wine are the best things for damaged wrists. As for the cleaning... well you must be kicking yourself for having to miss out on it!
ReplyDeleteRosie
Oh my. Get the little lockets to do your house cleaning. Take the adivse of the others and sit back and have a glass of wine.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon.

ReplyDeletelisa x
hope your wrist gets better soon, no crafting, what a nightmare!! x
ReplyDeleteOh Lucy - I do hope it improves soon - wish I was nearer I could help you with your stitching deadlines
ReplyDeleteMrs Locket, I prescribe rapid administration of Mr Wine and and his close acquaintance, Mr Choc, given twice hourly, by Mr Locket if necessary. This should ensure a speedy (and cheery) recovery via subtle anaesthesia (ie drunkenness) and release of choccy endorphins. Nice!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks every bit as bad as it sounded on the phone. I'm so sorry to hear you won't be able to do the housework...and when you enjoy it so much too....
ReplyDeleteLooks like reading and eating chocolate are in order then :)
Hope the naughty wrist gets better soon or you won't be able to open any presents on Monday!
xxx
p.s. you are required to stay at home on Monday morning by the way - postie is on his way :)
I'd string it out for as long as you can..get the housework done for you ;-)
ReplyDelete(Hope it gets better soon though)
I can totally sympathise, six years ago I severed a tendon in my ring finger of my right hand (moral - don't leave sharp kitchen knives in washing up bowl!!)so after an emergency operation, I had a splint for a month, get washed, get dressed-hubby enjoyed helping with that!,not use knife and fork, going to the bathroom!!!, but at the end of it I was very good on the keyboard with my left hand and even managed a signature when shopping that no-one even questioned! hope you recover soon!
ReplyDeleteJosie x
RSI from all those quilts you've been sewing!! You'll have to put your feet up and relax a while with a nice cup of tea and a box of choccies!
ReplyDeleteOh poor you ...no wonder you had a blow out it's all that house work you do you need to stop that straight away. My elderly mum broke her wrist and I thought we might have to have her put down after a week it nearly drove her mad not being able to do any think. How you going with the pulling up of the knickers LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I hope you are on the mend soon-at least all that lovely housework will still be there when your wrist is better!!Take Care
ReplyDeleteouch! it looks kinda serious. a good rest is a must for your mighty hands to recover soon. you can use the idle time to make list of stuff to do . take care
ReplyDeletePoor Lucy!I'm with the others- a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine, some chocolate and a pile of books;-) The little Lockets (not to mention Mr.Locket!) will surely be able to cope with the housework!

Oh bad luck Lucy! I hope that it heals quickly so you can get back to lots of crafty fun (forget the housework!). Lots of resting it and chocolate should speed things up x

Oh Lucy, poor you! That looks nasty :o( I hope it's feeling better by now... although not quite better enough for you to have to tackle any housework, obviously ;o)
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I hope you are OK and that sewing withdrawal hasn't set in too fiercely. Take care of yourself,

Commiserations - do take care of yourself as I had wrist problems last December which still flare up and they play havoc with crafting!!
ReplyDeleteBelated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I meant to drop by yesterday to shout that .... well it would have been just 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' then, but I was knee deep in clack-o-meters and computer viruses :(
