Scallops or no scallops?

Just a quick post in my lunchbreak to ask your advice.......


Should I scallop?


Or just have this chained edging?

I've done half of the scalloping but I'm rather liking the simplicity of the chain instead - the scallops don't really lie flat. 

Should I unpick it? 

What do you think?

Let me know your thoughts and I will put names into a hat for a crocheted flower brooch to be picked tomorrow xx

    Flat! :) The scalloped is pretty but I prefer the flat.

    Now see? This always happens when you ask for opinions. Someone has to go against the grain. That someone is me ;-D (I like the scallops, she whispers)

    But really, either version will work -- it's beautiful!

    Both are beautiful but the chain stitched edging is nicer (or at least I think so), it's your blanket though so you should have the last word (don't listen to Dottie!!) xx

    Well I'm no help at all because I like them both equally so I'd have exactly the same dilema as you Lucy! It looks wonderful though, whichever way you go with the edging xxx

    Less is more, as they say. I'd go for the flat - no scallop. Loving your colour combo. I so wish I could crochet!

    It looks pretty either way but I think that the chain edge is better.

    I have been enjoying your blog and that of thimbleanna. The world of blogging is new to me., but I think the chain stitch is lovely - very clean and fresh looking as we say here in Northern Ireland .

    I think both edges look great - but if I had to choose one, it would be flat.
