I don't have anything profound to say today and I don't have any marvellous photos to share but I thought I would let you know that I have finished my fox quilt and it is now hanging on the wall in the kitchen looking deliciously wintery.
Hand quilting the stars on it has inspired me to layer up my long-abandoned zig-zag quilt top that I made with the gorgeous fat quarter bundle of Christmas fabrics that Thimbleanna so kindly gave me when we met up in Edinburgh a few years ago.
This time I'm just following the zig-zags with fairly large and not very even running stitch but I'm enjoying sitting under it in the evenings while I work and I fully intend for it to be finished by Christmas even if it is a few years late!

Oh Locket, I am in awe of your fabulously gorgeous foxy quilt.
Your foxy quilt is brilliant, it looks so good on the wall. And the zig zag is going to be great too. You must be very patient to be doing all that hand-quilting. Juliex
What foxy goodness. I am in awe.
Love the fox quilt. I am slowing on the hand quilting. Mental picture here me in my underwear quilting as it is so hot under the quilt. It's not good is it. Good luck with your hand quilting.
I'm loveing doing hand quilting lately. So or is that sew relaxing! Your winter quilt looks good. Jodie would love that little fox.
Oh Wow! The foxy quilt is wonderful Lucy, that is a pretty marvellous photo I'd say! And the zig-zag quilt is gorgeous - nice to have a few unfinished things sitting around because when you pick them up again it's like starting something new but the end is already in sight!
Hand quilting is the coziest of winter projects, and it rivals knitting for being a lovely, relaxing occupation. You go, girl! I love those quilts.
Happy quilting : )

Can't wait to see that beautiful zig-zag quilt all finished. I totally agree about the hand-quilting, it really is the perfect thing to do on a winter's evening.
