Presents

A belated Happy Mother's Day everyone!

This is my lovely haul from the Little Lockets (and Mr Locket too) - it's just a bit unfortunate that I wasn't organised enough to send my own Mum a card and present - although I did buy her 4 cards in an attempt to find one that was decent, and I planned to give her the exact same present as my sister although neither of us could work out how to get it to her (nothing too clever, just a book for her kindle).

Meanwhile I have been busy knitting presents for friends.........

A pair of Fetching mittens for Alison

and just-finished-today Broadripple socks for Kerry.

But my best present - to myself - was fitting into a pair of Dot's size 12 jeans yesterday!  Result :o)

Well, Happy Mother's Day! I was not aware that UK and Australia (and presumably other counI tries, too? perhaps NZ? Canada?) celebrate MD in March. In the US, MD is in May. Ah, well, vive la difference!
I meant to leave a comment on your previous post about "It's not working". I was trying to work up something really encouraging. I am out of work now, myself, and I do know that things do work out, when we keep our heads up and stay on course with a viable plan. I am generally an optimist. So, I can't help but think that things will come together for you and your family too. Sending hugs your way.

Belated Happy Mothers' Day, Lucy :)
I love the mitts AND the socks, which remind me of fudge ripple ice cream.
Congrats on the size 12s...just a faint memory for me these days, and I think the UK sizes also run quite a bit smaller than US sizes!

Heavens above Lucy, that's brilliant. Um, please could I commission a pair of those beautiful mittens in the same lovely blue? Would you accept say £20? Will email you ...
