Moving in!

Pinky was ready to move in to this afternoon after Stuart spent Sunday afternoon being very cleverly electrical resulting in this

and all these lights and sockets

and after Mr Malcolm Powder came again and put up even more shelves and moved all the hanging rails that he had so carefully put up in the dining room for me recently! (sorry Malcolm!)

So here are some photos for you - I haven't taken the funny angled ones in an attempt to be arty-farty - they just show more of the room!

There are still a few jobs to be done - including covering (very badly in my case) the rest of the burgundy boxes because they just "don't go" in my lovely new pinky-ness, but I'm so very happy with the end result!

And what I forgot to tell you all is that this new room has been created from half of the garage in the garden - a much better use of the space!

You're gonna hate it in there!

Is it coincidence that it's just in time for the school holidays, so that you can lock yourself away from the Little Lockets?

I'm not at all jealous - I love having my sewing c**p all over the dining room......

xxxx

p.s. it's lovely :)

I love seeing other peoples creative spaces, it is so inspiring. I am sure that you will spend many happy moments/hours in your little pink pocket land. It is so great that you can have a space that you can truly call your own.

LUCE! It looks beautiful!! How nice to have your own space!!! I'm seriously jealous... but happy for you!! ;) I'm sitting amidst the mess of crafty crap that lies on my dining room table. Trying to get things organised so that I don't have to tidy off my dining room table so we can eat at it!! ;) Another table?? No, I better consolidate some stuff and find a new space that doesn't mean I get to create a huge mess in my living space!!! Hope you enjoy your new space... kids allowed in there?? Or just Mrs Locket?! ;)

Heaveny space - do you come out often? Not sure I would. Especially if one of those boxes contained a coffee and choccy biscuit stash.

Lucy! I'm so happy for you! I'm also trying not to be jealous because I see you actually have a sewing room DOOR. Which means you can physically separate yourself from the "Mum, I need this" and "Mum, my foot's stuck" and "Mum! Can you get me a snack?" while you're making all your lovely stuff. You are going to have so much fun in your new sewing space! Whee! I'm getting so excited for you! I bet you could sew one million bibs in there! No, wait, that's not my sewing room-with-a-door. It's yours. Sniff.

P.S. I love those little wall-hanging containers for putting notions and stuff. And your soon-to-be-ex-burgundy boxes are going to turn out great!

Show us another photo in about three weeks - we'll get to see Pinky as she REALLY is. :>} You know, fabric spilling out of the boxes as you've searched each one for that one fabric you just KNOW you have . . . somewhere.

Soon to be filled,
With things she had sewn,
Lucy had a little pink room of her own.

Congratulations it looks wonderful. I can't wait to see what you make in it

Looks fab Lucy. Having your own designated space to sew really does make a huge difference. Plus you don't have to keep tidying it up all the time!!!
