Well................

I GOT THE DOG*!!!!!

Hooray for me!

They even said when they rang me that they were "very impressed with me"!

so how many times do you think I have repeated that in the few hours since it was said??? ;o)

And it's no little dog..........

It's actually quite a big hairy dog in terms of hours (30 per week compared to the 16 I was doing previously and the minimal amount I was doing before that)

But is new and exciting and I'm excited.

It's back at Newcastle University where I did my degree and my incomplete PhD studies and worked as a very part time lecturer and then full time secretary.

I was there for over 8 years and it just feels like home.

I'm so glad to be going back!

P.S. sorry for the lack of photos - I was trying to upload some witty dog pics but my brain and computer let me down and I'm rushing as I'm going out with some friends to celebrate my birthday and my new dog of course!

* dog = job. This is Moogsmum's fault. When I rang her last year and squeaked down the phone that I had got my last job she misheard and thought I'd said I'd "got a dog" - so the name stuck! All her fault!

Hurray hurray! I was thinking about it on and off all day, wondering how it had gone. I'm so so pleased for you. Hmm though, does this mean a few more pennies for spending on, oh, I don't know, FABRIC???

Congrats on the new job - you'll be able to afford to fill your lovely new sewing room with lots of lovely things to play with - hope you still manage to fit in some 'me' time amongst work, at least with your own designated craft room you can leave everything out and ready to sneak in for a 5 minute fix when you have a spare moment - I've been known to sit down at my machine and stitch a handful of patches together in a spare five minutes before we leave the house in a morning if I'm ready before the kids - never waste a moment (DH thinks I've raving bonkers)

Yay for you, Mrs. Locket! Of COURSE they are impressed with you; who isn't?? And you'll see. . . you'll be even more organized than ever, and will still have time to craft in your new pink room. Miss Dot will be happy to have more kitchen time and produce lovely dinners - yes?

Blogger ate my comment. I left one saying how clever you were to get a new dog and happy belated birthday and how slim you're looking and all sorts of nice things. And blogger ate it. Bad blogger, bad blogger.

Of course, I knew about the dog a few days ago.

I just thought I'd already commented...but no, I spoke to you in real life instead.

Well done Locket.

Hope it's a big cuddly hairy dog that sits when it's told to!
