Inspired to be creative

Thank you all so much for your support - I have been overwhelmed!  I have tried to reply to everyone but some of your comments had "no-reply" so if I haven't thanked you personally THANK YOU!

A late Christmas present arrived this weekend

One that I had ordered for myself ;o)

And it is absolutely lovely.

I read it on Sunday afternoon and was delighted to realise that I was getting itchy fingers again so on Monday morning Dot dragged me outside to help tidy up the sewing room and I got busy cutting out the fabrics for this fabulous winter quilt.

The only problem now is that I can't find the sewing machine leads anywhere!  I had my machine in the house in November when we were having lots of renovations done and I think the leads have been tidied away somewhere.

I may just have to borrow Dot's machine!

I love Kajsa’s book! All her whimsical designs are so adorable!
I’m sure Dot will lend you her lovely little red machine! Happy stitching!

Hi Lucy
I'm so glad you've got the bug going again and it's not surprising with that book! I got hold of my copy at the weekend too (it had taken forever!). I love that foxy quilt and am determined to learn how to 'write' with my machine!

That book is on my Amazon wishlist - I got the doodle embroidery motif collection for Christmas as it's great when books have you reaching for your threads and eager to make a start.

Hope the leads turn up - or I'm sure Dot will be happy to let u use lil red.

Have fun.

I ordered that book from Amazon on the 30th November and I'm still waiting - is that where you got yours from? Glad to hear the " itch " is coming back x

Your mojo's coming back! Now if only the same were true for those pesky leads - they'll be in a safe place....

That book has been on my wanty list for so long...and has now leaped straight to the top of that list! What a gorgeous quilt design. I'm not a fan of real foxes but that fabric one is just lovely!

Its lovely to see you back to blogging and crafting. Sometimes we just need to have a little outlet, just for us.
Take care.

Ooh lovely - that's going to be gorgeous! Of course, you're a totally bad influence as Kajsa's book is now going to have to slip off my Amazon wish list and into my basket - what a shame :o)

Good luck with finding your leads, Locket, although I'm sure Dot won't mind you taking over her machine for a while.

I was admiring that very book today in a quilty catalog I was perusing while eating lunch at work. I hate when things like your leads get "organized into oblivion" as my husband calls it. When you find them you'll say, "Oh yes, it seemed like such a good place to put them at the time."

Yay! You're really back! That's a fun winter quilt -- I love Trash's comment!!!

I believe that creativity is very 'healing' to the spirit, so I'm really pleased to read that you have got the 'making' juices flowing. It's going to be gorgeous too. Take care :) xx

A big hug and... carry on with a smile!

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that you lost your leads. Not happy that they're lost, but happy that I'm not the only one who loses things during quick tidy ups.
I hope that quilt is coming along, it's very cute and the book looks great too.
