WHITE CHRISTMAS

Just a week before Christmas I was carefully explaining to the Little Lockets that, even though all the Christmas cards suggested otherwise, the chances of actually having a White Christmas were very slim indeed.

So you can imagine how delighted they were to see me proved totally and utterly wrong this year!

And once everyone had safely arrived at my parents' house (especially Mr Locket who was the last to arrive on Christmas Eve in the midst of further heavy snow)

we were able to relax and enjoy the lovely white stuff because..................

Snow + excited children + lovely big cousins

= LOTS OF FUN

And if you asked the Little Lockets what the best part of Christmas was it would definitely be the toboganning (with presents coming a very close second!)

And with my brand new, perfectly designed for me, even if I did have to chop the top 3 inches off to make them fit my fat legs, button wellies

even I was persuaded to go toboganning!

Totally mad fun - but I drew the line at going down THIS slope

It does look magical. I love the snap of your parents back yard with the snow covered trees and the bird feeder. Love the button wellies. Taboganning looks like loads of fun.

Oh my goodness! What Fun! We are jealous here in Maine, where we usually have lots of snow and cold, but today unseasonably warm and raining. Was supposed to be snow. And no frozen stuff for skating.

Glad you lot got snow too! So glad that none of you crashed into the tree, that would have put a dampner on the big day!

And although I have rather fetching black wellies with purple daisies on I am green with envy over your button wellies, you should let us know from where you found them and we can all have some! I have abandoned shoes of late and have spent the last couple of weeks wearing either my wellies or my slippers, it's starangely liberating!?

Fun fun fun! We were with the beloved big cousins too, but with much much less snow. Yours was amazing!

And I have exactly the same leg to wellie ratio problem. Hadn't thought of lopping them - that may have opened a whole new wardrobe of possibilities! Yours are tres fetching.

What a wonderful white Christmas! Here in Italy we had a white Christmas Eve, but on Christmas day the rain melted the snow away! Your wellies are fantastic, I love them ^_^
Hugs and happy new year!

Looks like a lot of fun! We have snow here too, and -5 degreesC, which is really cold here on the coast! The kids are out playing all day.

Fun in Locketland! Would I sound like an old Scrooge if I say I've grown tired of snow and cold? We have plenty of it here. I do love your boots, though!

and children love nothing better than their parents being wrong!!

I have shortie wellies that finish before my calves get too fat, I'd never thought of chopping them down - brilliant!
