I have finished an order for a friend to make a patchwork fleece blanket for a new baby and I am really pleased with it so obviously I need to show it off to all of you!
It even has the very first of my new labels
- almost accurately sewn in!
These are two of the wallets I have made using Melly and Me's amazing Wally and Wristy pattern. The pattern is brilliant and I am really pleased with how these have turned out. I made another one for my sister using Japanese tortoise fabric but didn't get chance to photograph it before I gave it to her so I am
I have also made this little needle case from my new book by Tilda.
I have tentatively decided to open an Etsy shop (see right) but as yet it has nothing in it. I would welcome any advice on what to put in and what delivery costs to apply - and what to charge for things obviously! I'm not sure whether I should be doing this at all - usual crafters reticence I think!
With this in mind I have just ordered my first set of Moo cards and I am sooper-dooper excited about them - I hope I have cropped the pictures right otherwise I'm going to look pretty stupid!

Wow, you really have been busy! What gorgeous things you've created this week.
Good luck with your etsy shop - I shall watch your progress very intently and take notes!
I wish I had been as productive as you and worked extra hours. I love the cute labels. An Etsy shop is a good idea it gives purpose to the things we feel we have to make, that we don't really need (if that makes sense).
OOH I haven't forgotten my awards you gave me just haven't had time to sit and post will try today.
i think that an etsy shop is a great idea, people will definately love your things, you may not be able to keep up with demand!
I'm not sure with exact cost since we live on opposite sides of the world, but maybe you could look at the cost of some similar items and take into account the amount and cost of the fabric you used and the amount of time in hours it took to make it as a starting point?
Hope that helps a bit,
Nicky
Love the wallets, great combination of colours and so unusual. You have squeezed in a lot of creativity this week!
I too have an empty etsy shop that I would like to stock but have been held back by the thought that nobody would buy anything, but next week I'm going for it and hope you do too.
I agree pricing is the hardest part because often the time taken to make something is not related to how much you could charge for it - if you know what I mean!
The wallets look beautifully made, the zips perfectly set in.You have been a busy girl!! I look forward to seeing the shop, pricing is tricky as you will be unable to pay yourself a reasonable hourly rate.Good Luck
Thanks for all your kind comments about my Etsy shop - I just don't know if my stuff is good enough. (although my rhyming skills are obviously great!) Also does anyone know how to put the correct etsy link on your blog - I tried but couldn't do it! Lucy x
sorry, i haven't forgotten the picture of wallet but always too busy! usually stuck in traffic jams these days! Last one was 5 hours friday night 'til 3 in the morning.
I have been on vacation for the last week and I realised although I am loving it, my time is better organised when I am working. I having hand sewing time and machine piecing time. I'm sure when I go back to work I'll want my leisure sewing time back.
You really have been busy, that sstuff is so adorable...all of it. I spy the lovey (my Favourite fabric) vintage Laura Ahsley fabric in your project. You go with the Etsy shop, how exciting...

That‘s some production of lovely things! Isn’t it amazing that we tend to make more when we are very busy. I think we are more efficient in spending our time! And about the Etsy-shop, give it a try! You can search shippingscosts on the internet and I should take into account what you spend on the fabrics etc. you used.
Brill mam man!
