I'm so happy!!!!

So very, very happy!

My wrist is nearly better!!!!! Hooray!

And I had the most amazing brainwave (told you I was geeky!) - my sewing table might still look like this but it ocurred to me that I could actually

the whole 30cms from my sewing table onto the totally tidy dining table - brilliant!!!

So I have MADE SOMETHING!!!!!!!!

But I can't tell you what it is yet so I'll have to just give you sneaky peek for now.

And I've nearly finished my tanktop, and I managed to do some crochet!

I'm so happy!

Shame there's so much crafting to do - I'll just have to wait a bit longer before I can indulge myself with all the housework ;o)

No, don't do it! House work should not be attempted until at least 3 weeks after a poorly wrist. Dusting will only make it worse so never do that ever again. Ironing , well, the iron is far too heavy to lift with a sore wrist. And as to hoovering? Show it to your children, explain that it's a fantastic new invention and all budding mini-geeks need to try it out. On a permanent basis.

And you need to get on with the crafting.

Sorted!

So pleased to hear you wrist is better but like Michaela I think housework should be avoided at all costs! You wouldn't want a relapse.

hurray for you!!!nice to get back to crafting and am sooo glad to see that you have your priorities right!! definitely no housework though, all that heavy stuff puts too much strain on your wrists - i'd say you would have to give yourself at least, say, another fortnight!

Did you think up your cunning plan while lying in the bath?

Glad to hear the wrist is getting back to normal. Obviously you wouldn't want to risk aggravating your injury, so I would most definately advance ongoing abstinence from housework...of any kind.

Was that a rather overt attempt on your part to gain geek points, by the way? Nice try but I can't be seen to favouring you :)

hahaha! I know the feeling - housework should always take second place to a bit of crafting! So glad your wrist is better and I'm looking forward to seeing new projects!

glad you're nearly better but don't overdo it! I'm still struggling with crochet - and it is so frustrating

I suspect all the strenuous housework you've been doing over the past 20 years is the whole problem here Lucy. Best give it up. I know it'll break your heart, but really ... your health and wellbeing are more important than a teeny bit of dust.

Lol! I wish that I had the same philosophy... no housework till all the crafting is done! Unfortunately I wouldn't get anything done! My NEW rule is to get the housework done before I sit down to sew (unless it's night time!). But, with a sore wrist... you shoud definately not be attempting any strenuous housework until at least a month after you're feeling like it's handling things okay. So maybe a month of craftying... just to see if it's okay.... then another month's grace and then housework! Does that give you enough time?!

Your happiness is contagious! Glad that wrist is finally getting better but yes I agree housework would stuff it up again for sure!

housework is very dangerous, you could injure yourself severely so please don't try it. Just gentle crafting, that'll do you just fine ;)

Hooray! Hooray for the wrist being better and hooray for geeky brainwaves!...as long as the dining table doesn't go the same way as the sewing table.
I'm dying to see what you're recently-recovered wrist has been up to- those are some of the cutest fabrics I've ever seen :D

Good to see you're sewing again! But really, housework is not essential - can't remember who, but some clever person once said tghat after a certain point the dust doesn't get any thicker anyway!

I agree with everyone else leave the housework. The only time you need to use an iron is if Bondaweb or Angelina are been used.

Mrs Locket you are a girl after my own heart. I have a room dedicated to creating with a masive table and everything but when the mess got too bad, moved to the dining room table too (spread the 'love' I say). Besides the air con in my room is on the fritz and in hot and humid Singapore, it's impossible to create when your are sweating buckets, now isn't it??

Hey Lucy, I seem to have missed the whole injured wrist thing, but glad it's getting better. Beware though, housework is not considered occupational therapy and should be avoided.

That material in your sneaky peek looks fab, can't wait to see the full-on peek!

You poor, poor thing -- it's such a burden to have crafting when there's housework to do. I hope you'll manage in the face of it all LOL. Congratulations on your sewing machine moving brainstorm!
