So much to tell you ...... but no time!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last post - I can't believe I got so many and I'm sorry I haven't replied to you all because I really do appreciate each and every one!

But golly this whole "new job" business is a bit stressful!

I actually start TOMORROW (and I only found out for certain yesterday afternoon!) and will be working for two hours on a Wednesday then full time on Thursday and Friday.

The job itself is fine - I'm going to be working part time as a secretary in a local college - it's just the logistics of sorting out the childcare for the three little Lockets that's making me tear my hair out as each day and each child is going to be different {:o/ (that, by the way, is meant to be a picture of me with deep frown lines and a worried looking expression!)

I have so many other lovely things to show you or tell you about - like my wonderful surprise mini-quilt parcel from Kitty and my very exciting meet up with a rather special blogger but they will have to wait until I have time to upload the photos and think up a proper post!

Hopefully I will still have time to sew and time to blog.............................!

Lucy xx

Oh Locket there must always be time to sew and blog.

Surely those kids are capable of feeding themselves, washing the dishes AND the clothes (although preferably seperately) and getting themselves off to school and back? That would leave you plenty of time to go to that fancy job of yours and complete life's necessities (blogging, sewing, red wine, chocolate) as well.

oh no... you mean i have to wait to find out your news...aaarg!! but of course i understand, starting a new job is stressful, so much to think about, children, husband, washing, ironing, lunch boxes, homework - let alone the what to wear syndrome!!! you take care of everyone else and then think crikey, have i got something to wear!!! but i am sure you will be fine, once you've got the first week over things settle into a routine! really, they do!
sorry to have rattled on so, but am wishing you lots and lots of luck and good wishes for tomorrow.
now then, this new blogger, sounds familiar i think!!

Congrats and just take it all one day at a time (unless there is actually some time somewhere for planning). I think you will enjoy talking to adults again, don't you?
Once the learning curve is past you will be fine! Have fun!!

Hope it goes well, I'm sure it will once first day nerves are out of the way.
My children were gutted to leave after school club when I stopped working, little darlings! I'm sure the new routine will soon settle into place, with plenty of built in blogging time too :)

Phew! I was getting worred there, that the stress of being a 'working girl' was too much already!

Good luck for tomorrow (or is that today?) (good luck anyway) and I hope the childcare works out. That's always the worst part and one of the few benefits of having them grow into surly teens .... they can fend for themselves .... just about ....

:)

Good luck Lucy! Have a wonderful 1st day!
Arranging all the child-care is a job in itself!!

Hi Lucy,
I have chosen to tag your blog as I really enjoy reading it. This is the first time it has happened to me and as I needed to find 7 other bloggers I thought of you. I hope you are able to participate and don't mind too much. I thought OMG when I received my tagging, but it wasn't that hard & actually quite fun.
I make cloth dolls, quilts, bags, aprons etc and enjoy screen printing fabric for some of these items. I also work part time in our local College( art & home ec dept. I filled in at times in the office...the phone never stops!

Kind regards
Deb

At least they didn't keep you hanging on for weeks before starting! Sorting out the childcare is by far the most stressful part of working motherhood but you really will find it settles down and that the little Lockets will be just fine - honest guv!

You may find it takes a little while to get used to but you will soon fit in the blogging and crafting too :)

As for me....I'm suffering already! It's only been a day and I'm not sure I can cope with you going back to work....what about those phone calls I'll miss out on? How will I manage?

Good things happen to good people so you've got it made! The child care will fall into place. It just seems overwhelming in the beginning.
