Lazy Sunday

It has been one of those strange "bitty" days in the Locket Household today. The eldest Little Locket felt poorly this morning so she and I stayed at home and watched Miss Potter while I did some knitting and Mr Locket took the two smallest Little Lockets to the park on their bikes.

Then in the afternoon the Little Lockets had fun playing hospitals (although Fred decided to dress up as Sully from Monster's Inc and refused to "play ill" much to his Nurse's and Doctor's disgust!)

And I carried on knitting...............

Until I finished this:
for my friend's daughter's birthday.

Then eldest Little Locket felt a bit better and went with Mr Locket to visit Granny and Grandpa Biscuit and to drop of a sewing order with a friend on the way back.

And this is what the two Littlest Lockets did:

Talk about a Lazy Sunday Afternoon!

But look what came back with the travellers:

A thank you present from the friend I had done the sewing for.

Delicious Low Fat Blueberry and Banana Muffins. I was very good and only had one (which I reckon had about 3 Weight Watchers points in) and I am going to save one for Tuesday morning for my treat after I have been weighed!

This leads neatly into the whole Weight Watcher's thing. I went on Tuesday for my first meeting and weighed in at a hefty "Something" stone and 7lbs - lets just say it is 4½ stone heavier than I should be for my height. Gulp! How did it get this bad????? (Far too easily unfortunately!)

I have been "very good" this week and have been following the "Core Plan" which suits me best - lots of fruit and veg and freshly prepared low fat meals (I'm not really a "ready meal" fan)

So I will let you know how I get on on Tuesday and will put up a little weight-loss section (hopefully .................!) on the side bar of my blog.

And now I have two poorly Little Lockets - Dorothy and Daisy!!!!!

But the FANTASTIC NEWS is that I won Vicious Chicken's giveaway so the Wonderful Waldorf will be coming here!!!! I can't wait- I have coveted one of VC's "martian/monkeys" since Monkee Maker blogged about Smashie - especially when she showed him in an IKEA jar!

Thank you so much VC - I am delighted!

Awww, sorry to hear that your little girl Lockets are poorly-sick :-( Hope they feel much better soon. (And I love Daisy's quilt - so pretty). Fred looks splendid in his Sully outfit - No.2 would kill for one of those.

Take care. x

Your babies look very snuggly there - shame they were feeling poorly :( I think Fred looks very munhcy in the Sully suit. I love Monster Inc and it was Minx's favourite when she was ickle.
You deserve a great weight loss after having such a good week so fingers crossed for tomorrow!!

Hope those poorly girls feel much better soon. You take it easy too and enjoy your knitting!

Make sure you wear light clothes for your weigh in!! I'm pretending our scales don't work, I know I need to loose weight and to put a figure on it would send me to the biccie barrel - wish I had some will power.
Hope the Little Lockets are getting better.

Hope your family are all feeling better now, and your bunny is really sweet, I wish I could knit to a pattern, sadly I am far too undisciplined!!!

Hi Lucy, At the moment it looks as though I can't go to the London show because we've have an extra inset day at school on 25th Feb and unusually I have to work this one, this means i've had to ask Tony to stay home with Em. So now he may not be able to have another day off quite so quickly for me to come to the show. I'm really disappointed, sorry Jane x I did try emailing you but it bounced - it may be my email account
Oh and sorry to hear the little lockets were poorly hope you are all feeling better.

Lovely rabbit, best of luck with WW. I need to join something like that, otherwise the waist will just keep expanding darn it!

Hi Lucy,

Just popped over to answer your question: my NBM is the artist formerly known as 'The Other Half', and her letters stand for Northern Baking Monkey or Northern Biking Monkey, depending on what mood she's in. (Sometimes lauren calls her NB/BM, but that confuses me to type, so I steer clear myself!)

Hope your little Lockets are feeling less poorly now,
VCxx

PS. oops, almost forgot your other question - I don't think Waldorf is too fussy about his tea brand, so long as it's warm and wet :o)
