150th Post Giveaway Winner

The winner of Chick-Chick and Barney

is Sarah with her accurate guess of 42 (that's 196 in continental size) for the combined shoe size of the little Lockets and their BIG cousins.

It was a pretty hard challenge because apart from Fred who is a small-size 12 they all have particularly large feet for their ages

Daisy (age 7) = 3.5
Dorothy (age 10) = 6
Em (age 12) = 8
Ped (nearly 15) = 12.5

If there had been two correct guesses I would have set a tie-breaker question where you would have to guess how tall my nephew is - I don't think anyone would have got it right as he is already 6 foot 5!!!!!

So congratulations to Sarah - I already have your address from the mini-quilt swap so I can post it to you if you like or as we live so close perhaps we could meet for a coffee somewhere?

Hope you are all having a lovely day - we tried to go to the allotment but got absolutely soaked! Nevermind - it leaves more time for sewing!

Congratulations Sarah, I hope Chick-Chick travels well and that if you do meet up with Locket she is actually ready to part with him. If it all gets too silly just challenge her to an arm wrestle!

Well done Sarah, lucky girl. I didn't have a go at guessing as I have no idea what shoe sizes boys may have as I have petite girls, I would have been way out. Fantastic idea for a give away though.

Well at least I know what to do for your mini quilt now - something along the lines of Bigfoot!

Wow! I thought I had overestimated with 33 and a half!

Miss Lucy! You had a giveaway while I was gone!!! Well, congrats to your winner -- it's best this way, as I'm terrible at guessing games LOL! Looks like you had a lovely outing with that cute Mr. Locket too!

Congratulations Sarah - Hope Chick Chick and Barney both behave themselves! Whoever would have guess your lot had huuuuuuge trotters. Our daughters are the same age, but mine only takes a 3. What size shoes do you take, or is it Mr L-P who is BigFoot? :-p

Good grief, they do have big feet - and I think Fred has fairly big feet if he's a size 12 already - unless I have his age wrong in my mind. I thought my size 3 8YO had big feet :)

that was fun!
